Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Battery operation
1 Open the battery compartment by pressing the marking and opening the lid. 2 Take out the used batteries by pulling the first one out with your index finger. Then take out the second battery. 3 When inserting the new batteries (2 x 1.5 V, type Mignon LR6/AM6/AA), observe the correct polarity (see the illustration). Notes: Take out the batteries when you know that the device will not be used for a long period of time. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resulting from used batteries. Environmental note: Batteries, including those which contain no heavy metal, may not be disposed of with household waste. Please dispose of used batteries in an environmentally sound manner.
